loozy Terms of Use

This is a courtesy translation. If there is any discrepancy, the Portuguese (Brazil) version prevails.

1. What loozy is

An app that helps you find public and partner toilets. The information comes from OpenStreetMap and from the people who use the app.

2. Accepting these terms

You can browse the map and get directions without an account ("Explore without an account"). To contribute — add toilets, write reviews, upload photos, save favourites, report or block — you need an account. By creating it you accept these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't create an account.

Minimum age: 13 years. By creating an account you declare that you are at least that old.

When you create an account you give us your name, a username and your email. The username is public and signs what you contribute; your name is not shown to anyone. Sex and age range are optional and you may leave them out.

3. Your account

The account only becomes active after you confirm your email with the code we send you. An account not confirmed within 7 days is deleted.

You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens on your account. Tell us if you think someone has accessed it.

You can delete the account at any time in Profile → Account settings.

4. What you contribute

When you add a toilet, write a review or send a photo:

5. What you can't do

Zero tolerance. There is no place on loozy for abusive or illegal content: insults, harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination, sexual content, photos of people, other people's personal data, or anything that is a crime. When we find such content, or it is reported to us and confirmed, we remove it and close the account of whoever posted it, without prior notice. For other breaches of these rules we may remove the content and close the account. Whenever possible, we tell you why.

6. Reporting content

You can report content in two ways:

What you report in the app is hidden from you immediately; if three different accounts report the same content within 7 days, it is removed from everyone's view until reviewed. You can also block the author of a review or photo: you stop seeing what that person posts (Profile → Blocked users).

We review content reports within 24 hours. If the content breaks these terms, we remove it and apply section 5. Anything manifestly illegal is removed immediately.

"Report a problem", on each toilet's page, is for flagging that it has closed, doesn't exist or has wrong information; three flags from different accounts within 7 days take it off the map until reviewed.

7. Badges and contributions

loozy shows how many toilets you added, how many you rated, and badges for milestones reached.

This has no monetary value. They are not points that can be bought, nor exchanged for money, discounts or prizes, nor do they enter draws. They are just a record of what you contributed. They cannot be transferred and disappear if you delete your account.

If one day we create a programme with real benefits, it will have its own rules, published and accepted separately.

8. The information may be wrong

loozy shows information from third parties and from the community. We don't guarantee that a toilet is open, clean, accessible or free. Check on site. We are not responsible for trips made on the basis of outdated information.

The service is provided "as is". We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or loss of profits. Nothing in these terms removes the rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived by contract — namely Decree-Law no. 57/2008 in Portugal and the Consumer Defence Code in Brazil.

10. Partners

Partner establishments are marked as such. The consumer relationship, where it exists, is between you and the establishment — we are not a party to it.

11. Changes

We may change these terms. If the change is significant, we let you know inside the app at least 30 days in advance, and you can delete your account if you don't agree. We don't change rules retroactively.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

(To be completed with the entity's jurisdiction. Note: in Brazil, the Consumer Defence Code allows the consumer to sue in their own domicile, and a forum clause that prevents it is void.)
